About Us
Established in 2020, The Angler's Logbook began as a YouTube channel showcasing some of New Zealand's most scenic fishing and hunting destinations. As our online community has grown, we have realised that The Angler's Logbook now represents more than just our fortnightly YouTube episodes.
We're a community of like minded people. We're deeply passionate about the outdoors. We explore remote, untouched parts of the back country, the mountains, the ocean and the high country lakes. We use gear that performs, especially in harsh and unforgiving landscapes.
Raised in a family where almost every holiday and weekend was spent on the water with a line on over the side of the boat, fishing was a part of our founder's life from a young age. Others recognised in James Flett a distinguished passion for fishing and recommended that he should one day host a fishing show. He held onto this pipe-dream, and in 2020 James decided to combine his hobbies of photography and fishing, and launch The Angler's Logbook on YouTube and our various social media platforms.
Our products reflect our passions. Ethically sourced and often locally or nationally manufactured. Quality that stands the test of time. Form and function. Attractive aesthetic.
So where to from here?
We're going to continue filming our outdoor adventures and entertaining our community as our episodes document unforgettable trips, bigger fish and more amazing destinations. We will develop and release more phenomenal products. We will continue to partner with incredible companies whose products we use and believe in. And our foundation for all of these ambitions is the relationships and friendships we build along the way, through discipline, honesty, integrity and enjoyment.
